Please note where you leave everything to partner, then children and grandchildren and failing that the rest of your family, and your partner makes a will on the same lines, then when you die your entire estate will go to your partner. If your partner dies and there are no children, or grandchildren, then his/her estate goes to his/her family and this includes your estate.
